So I've been weight training for about 3 months now, 4 times a week + cardio.
I'm 6 ft and 165 lbs. I'm looking to gain only about 10 lbs. I haven't put on any weight since I began, but weight has been going on the right places (i.e. my muscles are getting bigger and I'm slimming down around the belt).
However, I'm still looking to bulk up (slightly) because I am so skinny. I know I need to be taking in more calories to do so, but I am mostly worried about putting on weight around the waistline. Especially now that I feel like I am making good progress and it's starting to look how I want.
Does gaining muscle mean sacrificing for the short term in terms of flab around the stomach? My preference is to keep that in order even if it means gaining weight a little slower.
Sorry if this is a total noob question, I didn't find it anywhere else.
