NSCA CPT Exam Thread

ight, i took ur advise man. Maybe we all can learn some stuff from this thread lol

First Q: Im currently reading/out lining chapter 1 & 2. Skeletal/Muscular structure and Cardiovascular System. DO i really have to know all the little tid-bits like what the Total Peripheral Resistance, All parts of a mucle from the Epimusium to the Opening into the T-tube is and such? lol i mean this is kinda deep stuff lol.

Second Q: Concerning Type 1 and 2 muscle fibers. I kinda confused, do we all have both in our body and some just have more of one or another or do we just have one type each? the book isnt very clear.

From what I remember, there were a couple of questions on this. Without a lot of background in this stuff, it can certainly be overwhelming b/c they don't go into much detail. They sort of list the various components and that's it.

I always differentiated epi from endomysium by thinking:

EP in epimysium is like UP... meaning the upper layer

EN in endomysium is like IN... meaning inside layer

Fascicle reminds me of the word 'sack' which makes some sense since it holds the fibers.

On and on... these are the kinds of things that helped me remember that crap.

Yes, we have both types. Some people have more of one than the other and different muscles have varying degrees of fiber allotment.
