That's right! I WILL lose 20 pounds by April 26th, 2008!

Logical? Probably not!
Do-able? Probably so!


So why this off the wall date? Prom of course! I have bought a beautiful but clingy classy dress. () Don’t worry it really doesn’t go down that low.

So, I bought a large and it's still pretty clingy and even a 10 pound loss would make me look great in it. But, I want to go ahead and try to lose 20 so I won’t have to too much after that.

I currently weigh 146 at 5'6"

Bust: 38" (really don’t want to lose this!)
Waist: 30.5"
Stomach (At bellybutton): 35.5"
Hips: 40" (This includes my butt and it will always be big for a white girl :rolleyes: )

Routine:
Here is what I am going to do tomorrow when I get up and awake and my brother is out of the house.

Run in place – 1min
Jump rope – 6min
Karate kicks till I cant lift my legs anymore – ???min
Oblique Twist Crunches (with and without the punch) – do some till it hurts, rest, repeat
Maybe a little kettle bell arm workouts – do some till it hurts, rest, repeat

Total time: between 30 and 45 minutes

A good starter I think. I’ll work with it more. I really need to find a jump rope but if not I’ll just use a leash.

Food:
Now, my lover says to eat after the workout and I agree because, from what I learned, digestion stops as a defense thing after heart rate goes up so eating before hand would be pointless.

Breakfast – Depending on what time I get up determines what I eat. So, I’ll have either a bowl of oatmeal and some peaches or a Healthy Choice Steamer thing and small salad. (Do I even have greenege?)
Lunch – I guess whatever I didn’t have for breakfast I’ll have for lunch.
Dinner – This is unknown because my father is the dinner person of the house but I promise that, whatever it is, I wont over do it.


I really don’t know of much to write. Any suggestions? Want to know anything about me? I’ll be back tomorrow with how I did and my nest day’s plan.
 
Alright so the first day went ok. Turned out that I didn't have jump rope or a lease long enough or thick enough so I just did karate kicks, sprints down the hall, and a little time on that dreadful bike.

I also ate liked I said I did. Although I did over eat at dinner because my dad made some bangin chicken and rice and its so good that you cant help but go for another bowl . (But I only went for a half bowl)

But in the wake of all this we have had really bad winds and a neighbor's tree fell on the power lines and tore them down. So not much could be done with out power.

BUT, despite the past few day I shall continue.

Eating different is going to take some getting use to but I will get a hang of it one day.

As for working out...my routine sucked! But, I looked around you tube today and found videos that made my abs, butt, and thighs sore liked I had been working on them all day. But it only took 20 minutes! You have no clue how exiting it is to find something that works! Or maybe you to but I am so excited.

I am also excited to say that I tried on my prom dress just a few minutes ado and noticed that it fits better in the waist!!! I would like to thank water for this accomplishment! The only true problem i think I'm going to have with the dress at prom is my boobs. They are about to bust out of that thing and I'm only a C. Some how they have grown 2 cup sizes in a year and a half and while I want to keep them the way they are, i wish they could get smaller for like one night. :leaving:

All I need to do now is find a jump rope and get to work on the cardio.

If your heart rate goes up while working out is it considered cardio when doing things not thought to be cardio?

Just curious.
 
Thanks! M mother was looking through a catalog that we get and she and my cousin saw that dress. The moment I saw it I fell in love with it! And it was on sale then for about $60 so who could resist!
 
A beautiful dress! And you can do it!! At least 10 pounds you can definitely do! I mean how many weeks is that away?? Tons! So there you go!

$60!!! That's mindblowing!! Seriously!! I got mine at David'sBridal and with the jewelry and the shoes, it could have bough me a ticket to NYC! (I lived in LA at the time).

It's such a gorgeous dress! I am still in shock.

So today was a good day! No, a great day!

I did some calculations and research and realized that I burn about 2000 calories though my everyday life without a lot of hard movement.

So today I didn't have any plans to work out because I hurt so bad from that workout last night. But with my mother being at work and my brother being at classes and my dad having the flu, I had to restock the front porch with wood because we have cold weather coming.

So, I ask my dad where the wheel barrel was. Under the house duh! So I go get it and its doing fine till I have it full of wood and try to push it up the hill to the porch. I move all of three feet and it gets stuck. Turns out the tire was flat and because there was no weight in it it didn't seem flat. So all the pressure caused the tire to come off the wheel. This resulted in me carrying about 3-5 logs at a time back and forth from the wood pile to the front porch.

Not a big deal? Yeah right! The wood pile is about 40 feet and down a hill away from the porch. So I was carrying maybe 40lbs up hill to one side of the porch to be transfered to the other side. I went back and forth over 20 times and I was in flip flops.

How about that for cardio?

I'm proud of myself today. Nothing to complain about.

Well...I am kinda cold...
 
I'm so tired today. I got lost at the boyfriends lacrosse tournament and missed his first two games. Turns out they were playing on the baseball feild...I don't know how they did it.

I'm not sore anymore so I'm going to do it again tonight. Maybe just the butt one.

I'm having problems with ab workouts. I work them hard. I go for quality and not quantity but I'm just not sore the next day. I mean I work them till I can hardly sit up to get up. They burn really good when I do them and I pretty much go till I cant do it any more. I have variety and I work all the areas.

So...I don't even know. I just don't understand why I don't get sore abs.

Well I'm going to go work my but and thighs and then watch some TV before bed.

Hello everyone! :waving:

I am happy to announce that, as of this morning, my scale says I have lost 3 lbs!

I'm so happy I dont know what to say!

Yesterday was strange. I got up at 1:45, got showered and dressed, went to a Venture Crew meeting, went home, and went to my boyfriends work to do some scholarship stuff and ate a burrito.

That was one only thing I ate all day. I dont know why. I just wasnt hungry and didnt feel like eating. I know, its not good on my part but thats the first time it has ever happened.

So yesterday I ate all of about 300 calaries when you throw in the chips you get with the healthy burrito.

I find that joggin in place is kind of...nice. I'm not much of a runner. I've always been fast but cant go for long times. But I can actualy jog in place and my joints dont hurt. Its excited!

Well, I have heart burn so I'm going to go do...something...
