Not sure wher to start...need advice

I am 18 years old and a freshman in college. I will be joining a gym near me soon to get in shape. My whole life, I barely got any exercise and around 8th grade...I got my own pc and then I REALLY stopped moving. To my surprise, im not realy fat, but recently, my body has been giving up and flab is building up. I will have 4 days available to go to the gym every week. I dont really want to become super huge, just fit, and ripped. What type of supplements should I take? What should I eat? Should I run, lift weights or what? Are there some good guides online for this? thanks.
 
I can tell you the same thing they tell everyone. Read around the forum for a few hours. Learn about all the different aspects about a healthy life. From this, you should be able to come up with your own routine and you only need to ask specific questions.
 
Set a long term goal...

set a short term goal (a step towards the long term goal)

make a plan...

Execute the plan...

Achieve Goal...

Evaluate the plan... revise...

Set new goal... repeat until you achive long term goal ....

along the way you will have questions... many here to answer...
