Not sure if im doing this right at all

Hi all

Im 100% new to this forum and don't really know how this place works. I'm probably posting this at the wrong place, feel free to correct/move me.

What i need is your opinion on how i should proceed my workout system and calorie intake.

What i have been doing so far is mostly weight lifting, and that has gotten me stronger, but not made me look the way i want. The only part of my body that has a distinct muscle mass are my arms.

i currently weigh 97kg and i am about 187cm tall. i am not very fat, just quite shapeless. i am far from thin, i am built heavy. My body type is endomorph, if that helps. hope that is enough for all of you to picture me.....

my goal is to "get ripped" in a small scale.... i mean i want a strong body with clear muscle lines. i dont want to bulk upp until i look like The Hulk tho.... hope that is enough for you to picture my goal.

anyways, my question: i know that to acheieve this i have to get less fat and more muscle.

should i

1 - do cardio to get the fat away as a start and worry about muscle later?

2 - just keep up the weight lifting and build muscle, and hope the fat removes itself (that sound somehow wrong)

3 - a 50/50 mix?

and in the middle of all this, what and how much should i eat??

Give me your thoughts

If your weight is stable and you are adding training, keep eating as much as you are to lose some of the weight.
If you are endomorph you will do very well from heavy weight training which will build you muscles, which is part of getting defined, after all you can't define what isn't there. This will burn a lot of energy helping you with fat loss.
Cardio is essential for everyone, there is never a good time to not train the heart and lungs which keep you alive. It will burn fat of course but the energy loss is slower for endomorphs who often cannot train as intensely on cardio, you may be the exception.
