Its day seven of my trip to slimdom...so far all its going really well..I know I shouldn't be weighing myself to regularly, but I just cant help it..Its like I need to know if what I am doing a is making a difference..Weight isnt always the way to measure your progress only because it isnt always accurate...
At the start it is because I have so much weight to lose, so the scales will tower down...So far I have lost 5.9 kgs..I am now weighing 95kgs..The changes I have made are, I now measure my food and keep a log of what I put in my mouth, I use a white board that is stuck to my fridge to jot down what I eat..I thought if my log is on the fridge I will see it and I will use it, besides it reminds me of what I have eaten before I open the fridge door and pull out something that will not fit into my eating plan..another change I made is I keep really active, I ride my spin bike indoors when the weather is not good, I go for walks with my puppy Zak or my Sister, I go swimming a few times a weeks and I workout to fitness DVDs, mainly Jillian Michaels ones but I also have a interval spin cycling DVD by Robert Sherman, its a killer of a workout, but very rewarding, lastly to keep active I do heaps of work around the house, my latest big task was to trim up all the large hegde plant around the backyard..I was totally drenched in sweat and panting from doing that, it felt like I had just run a marathon..trust me they are very big hedges and I trimmed them with manual hedge trimmers, great workout for the old tuck shop lady flabby arms..In the first week you lose alot of weight, I never anticipated that I would lose nearly 6kgs, This is huge motivation to keep going, all the way to the finish line...then the hard bit is to keep it off...The last time I lost forty kilos, I kept it off for 5 years, then I had some personal family issues which drove me back to fatland, over a period of two and half years...All my hard work had been a waste of time...This time will be different, I want a permanent lifestyle change, not just a temporary diet..Its going to be hard to go back to work tomorrow after having 3 weeks off..I promise I will not lose focus..Tired or not I will make time for exercise afterwork, I have a gym membership, a spin cycle, workout DVDs and there is always walks I can take, so there is really no room for excuses...looking forward to dropping more kilos now, only 35kg to go...I know I can do this..
