no weight loss this week...grrrrr!!!

Hey i put up pics last wk and my goals etc and this week i have not lost a sausage..i love alcohol and normally drink every other day and i have totally quit this for 7 days now hoping apart from making me feel better i will also lose a few lbs as there are wasted calories in booze..but not worked..last yr i went on a low carb diet for a few months and lost a stone!!but this year i seem to be stuck at the same weight and dont understand why..:banghead:

This week i have drank at least 2 ltrs of water a day,plus walked,run and exercise video plus low carbing..so i dont understand whats happening here..surely its better to low carb and not drink alcohol than to low carb and drink alcohol??yet last yr when i was drinking the weight was dropping off!!!

Any ideas or suggestions?

I usually have a protein shake,salad or eggs n veggie sausage for brekkie..nuts or and salad for lunch..and tofu and veg for dinner..im doing everything right surely??

Any help or advice would be fab xxxx:cuss::rant:
 
Are you counting calories?

If you're not losing weight, the most likely explanation is that you're eating too much.

Cutting out alcohol is a good move for your health in general and I advise keeping this up, however if you really love your wine (or whatever you drink) then you can continue to have a glass so long as you count the calories and include these in the maximum for that day.

Maybe your body is adjusting to the healthy lifestyle? Give it a few more days and write down everything you are eating so we can give you feedback :)
 
thanks ladies..well i dont count calories but to be honest its because i know i dont eat enough calories..each day i prob only eat about 1000..im not a big eater..or snacker..my dinner is my fave meal of the day!
maybe your right..i just need to give it time..maybe im being impatient..
i shall write back on here when in a couple of days and fingers crossed i lose a couple of lbs..want to be in a nice bikini on holiday :)

im a happy bee now..i have lost 4lbs :coolgleamA:
its been 10 days...lots of water and no alcohol and 20g or less of carbs :seeya:

lets hope it carrys on working......
