I was wondering if anyone knew how exactly sleep affects weight loss. I know I have been in a calorie deficit for the past week and a half, but I have stayed at the same weight. Since I am fairly overweight and just recently started dieting again, I know this is not normal. I have not been sleeping well lately, sometimes getting 2-4 hours a night (this is due to multiple reasons....i'm working on fixing it). I feel okay during the day, but I was wondering if this could stunt weight loss?
I'm just trying to figure out whats going on because it is very discouraging. I am eating very healthily and I get some physical activity in everyday, so I should be losing.
My other thought is that my menstrual cycle has been really out of whack ever since I switched pills. I was on my period for about a month, it stopped finally, and two weeks later I started again....and am still on it almost two weeks later. So maybe this is why I have not lost? Can I be retaining water for 2 weeks?
lol I guess I would love for someone to tell me something I want to hear....that the lack of weight loss is due to one of these factors. But feel free to tell me what you know and think. I appreciate it.
