This author argues that it's the "bad carbs" that make us fat. I think what he says makes a lot of sense. I've known several people who eat according to the "sugarbusters" plan, which is essentially cutting out all the refined sugar, the rice, the pasta, bread... and they've lost a lot of weight and kept it off by continuing to observe the plan. Makes an interesting case!
