Hi
I am so glad I found this site. I am in desperate need to lose at least 60lbs, I have spent a lot of money on different diets get half way to goal and then stop. I just need some support and advice on how I can do this without giving up. For once I would like to finish what I start. Any suggestions on where I can begin or any ideas on which inexpensive weight loss plan I can follow? Thanks

Hi,

I lost a similar amount of weight about 7 years ago. Unfortunately Ive put most of it back on but thats for one simple reason - I stopped exercising.

Diet is very very important to weight loss, but so is exercise. You really have to get moving. I found a combination of weights and aerobics to be the most effective.

You also need to change the way you think (which is my challenge), and try and identify WHY it is that you treat your body in this way, by abusing it with junk and calories. We really are a greedy society and this flows through to our eating habits.

I definitely think exercise is the key as it can have a stabilising effect on your blood sugar thereby helping with food cravings and mood swings that us overeaters are so familiar with. The feel good chemicals it releases quickly become addictive too!

Thanks

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I believe that one of my problems is exercise. I spend almost 12 hours of my day sitting in front of a computer. I work from home and school on-line. I bought a treadmill thinking that I would be able to at least do that but it seems there isn't enough time in the day.
