Hi all,

Newby signing in!

Iv signed up and introduced my self here in the hope of finding some extra inspiration and support.. and maybe to make a couple of friends along the way :p

A little bit about my journey…
Im currently weighing in at 103 kgs. Or 226 pounds.
Im told by people that I carry this weight ‘well’ (whatever that means lol) and most seem pretty surprised to hear that is how much I weigh… of course to me I dislike it and im pretty critical of my self!

Growing up I was always pretty slim but I really started to pack on the weight particularly after going to uni, thanks to too many drinks, way too much bad food/hostel food etc and the bad habits continued after finishing uni.
Food for me has always been a comfort thing, if I had a bad day or a particularly stressful day I wouldn’t think twice about grabbing a packet of chippies.
One of my big weaknesses is bread and other carbs which I love!.
For the past year or so I had often thought on and off about needing to loose weight and diet etc but then I always found an excuse not to. i.e I cant afford to go to the gym, I don’t have the time etc.
I have finally made the decision to change things! , not only do i want to loose weight but i also want to have more energy and feel better and more confident!

On Monday I signed up to one of the local gyms (which worked awesome for me in the past) im planning to go after work at least ¾ times a week, maybe more...
And I have also started on the Kate Morgan diet which is based on the idea of replacement meals.
Iv decided to that 2013 is going to be my year!!
My goals are to find a new place, get fit and loose weight and start studying for my masters!!

Looking forward to the challenge :) :)

p.s particularly interested in talking to people who have done the Kate Morgan diet or other similar meal replacement ones

Sorry about all the waffling!!
Peace!

I haven't done Kate morgan but I did do celebrity slim for awhile and I lost quite a bit of weight on that program but also seemed to get quite sick so I stopped it as I didn't feel my body was getting enough but my partner had alot better success then me

keep on it and you should be fine, goodluck for your future weight loss :)

Thank you!

I had heard a few mixed reviews about the whole meal replacements thing, but mostly positive stuff, one of my bestfriends started it and it completely changed her life so im giving it a go :)

Welcome to the forum, Kiw_gal. I hope your diet works out well - be sure to keep us updated as to how it goes, I'm quite interested.
