Hi there,

I'm new (obviously). My name is Katie and I'm 38 years old. I have two little guys at home under then age of 3 1/2. Happily married to my best friend and struggling to lose the baby weight (ok the elephant I put on) from my last pregnancy two years ago.

I am currently a memeber of WW online and doing a bootcamp twice a week. I'm also supplementing those workouts with morning workouts on my elliptical and pilates.

I often feel like I don't have any real direction though. I've been plateaued from December to Mid July at 150lb. Though with the addition of the bootcamps in June I've seen the scale moving again. The frustration is starting to lift.

I still have another 45lbs to go until I reach my goal weight but its not just about weight but also physique. I want a nice athletic body not a skinny starving, gosh quick...someone give her a pizza, body! That is what lead me here. I'm hoping to find some support and guidance here.

Waving hello!

Katie

hi!

Good luck with your weight loss. Several years ago, I was off work for a work-related injury plus some other health issues. After 6 mos. on Prednisone, I too gained a lot of weight...to the tune of 48 lbs! That's 8 lbs more than I gained while pregnant! I had previously tried the Atkins diet, and found that it made me very sick (possibly a contributory factor to the health issues that rendered me temporarily disabled from work!). My best friend had been on WW for 6 mos and had lost like 15 lbs, so she got me started on WW as well. After 1 year, I had lost all 48 lbs, and 6 mos later had lost an additional 10. Not to mention that I felt better health-wise than ever before. I must admit, I attribute some of that weight loss to smoking. Nevertheless, upon getting a new job last Oct, and some emotional roller-coastering with a boyfriend, the WW diet went by the wayside, and now I'm 10 lbs overweight and trying to quit smoking. So, I NEED to get back to the WW basics, but I seem to lack some discipline here........
