Hi! I`m new here! I`m a vegetarian and I do excersise twice a week, but the weight just doesn`t go off!
And I don`t know what to do with it!
Maybe anyone here can advise something?
yes if you could start a diary and list your intake, exercise, etc, we could get a good idea of your habits and figure out whats going on. then we can try and get you going in the right direction!
No, I don`t count calories, I just really don`t know how to do it. But then I know pretty well that I don`t eat TOO much for a vegetarian. Grass cannot give too much fat anyway.
I porbably have to cut some bread intakes, yes... but it`s not that crucial! s far as I`m concerned.
And yes, I do drink a lot of water during the day....
And my excersise are quite an extremal ones - I do horseriding... so, and I`m all sweating after the lessons I take. Bacuse horseriding is a pretty hard thing to do with my age and weight!
THe only thing I could suggest, is that maybe for a couple of days you do keep track of your calories. You might be having more calories that you think you are. I found to loose weight, i need to have 1200 cals.
I didn't know how to count cals either for a long time....but on almost every food you buy there is a nutritional lable on it. It will say how many calories are in a serving. Just make sure you take note of what a serving size is. For most cerials its like 1/2 - 3/4 cup. Anyways, just write down on paper, or in your diary here, how many calories you eat as the day goes on. THis means pop too.
A friend of mine is a vegetarian and she told me that a lot of people think that vegetarians become super skinny from not eating meat... which is what I thought a long time ago before she told me about her switch to becoming vegetarian.
She said she put on weight mainly because her meals consisted of more carbs, including bread, rice, noodles, etc. She reduced her carb intake to match her exercise and increased other food intake and she started losing weight until she was back to her normal self.
I'd agree on the carb/weight gain thing. Can you try substituting some carb for some more protein everyday? I'll bet that will help.
Exercising more often per week will help too. I stepped mine up to one hour 5 days a week, and it's sure working for me (even though I don't count calories either).
Yeah, maybe I have too much of carb.... that`s right. But then... how to deal with hunger? I`m always hungry because vegetarian food seem to be disappearing very fast You take it and in a hour you are hungry again?

More protein at your meals will help keep you satisfied longer. Also, a supplement that I'm taking wards off the hunger, especially carb cravings. It's been very helpful to me personally. Click the link in my signature to read about it if you're interested.
Yeah, by the way, I found a site that tells a lot about health and food and weight loss issues.
dietpillsnews.com. It was redesigned and gone online again.
Anything of that would make me fell hungry. Whe I start exersicing more of cut size of food portions, I get hungry. I almost couldn`t endure that hunger! But then there was Hoodia... hm... not bad!
