Hello everyone:
I just joined today. I am so glad I found this forum!
I am here to give and gain support in my weight loss endeavors. I put on forty pounds because of health problems and I am here to correct them.
I have a rare, genetic blood disorder that caused me to have a massive heart attack. After I recovered, I was hit by a car while riding my bike. It has taken me a long time to get to where I am. I am finally physically and mentally ready to lose weight.
I have been stuck inside in a hospital bed recovering. Because of inactivity, I gained weight. I am just now able to exercise. I have physical therapy twice weekly. Now that I am able to treadmill all on my own for a total of fifteen minutes twice a day, I am finally able to burn fat.
I have a beautiful support system. My husband has helped me to survive through the very worst of times. I am so blessed to have him. I dedicate all of the work I am doing to him. I feel so very fortunate to even have a second chance to get my body healthy. I am not going to blow it. I will always have some scars that weight loss will never take away, but I'm just fortunate to be alive and my battle scars will always remind me that I am a survivor.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read my first post. I really look forward to meeting you all.
Mary Beth
