newbie wants to run two days in a row

its sunday and i want to get some studies done, but my back aches which is distracting me from my studies. i was wondering about going for a run. i did yesterday for 20 minutes, and i experienced no more backpains throughout the rest of the day. would it be bad for someone who is somewhat new(not entirely though, ran 3 times last week) to regular jogging to go jogging two days in a row? Can i somehow modify my technique so that it becomes more tolerable for my body to do so? does the underlay play an important role(dirt road vs asphalt)?

While it is a good idea to vary your workouts, you can definitely run two days in a row, if you want. If nothing is in pain, your not overly sore, excessively exhausted, and there's just no general feeling of body or muscle breakdown, then you're probably ok. So unless unless you start getting hurt from overuse of if your runs are high-intensity and extremely exhausting (which 20 minutes probably isn't getting you to), go ahead.

I agree with Jrahien. If nothing hurts, you don't feel exhausted, and are mentally wanting to run then it should be fine. But if you are new I wouldn't push it too hard for 2 days in a row. Go for a slower, easier run so you don't feel fatigue when you are done.

Exactly. You know your body. Stop when you feel sore. Otherwise, continue what you have been doing.
