newbie that just wanted to say hi

Hi,
I found this site a couple of days ago and decided to join. This site is a wealth of knowledge, inspiration, and motivation and I am excited to share my journey as I go through it. I started my weight loss journey 8 weeks ago and have lost 20lbs so far. My starting weight was 249 (so embarrassing to write) and am striving to get back to 148 which is where I was before. I've lost a little bit and I know I have a lot more to go, but I have found setting "mini goals" makes it a lot easier instead of looking at the big picture and getting discouraged. My workout routine is cardio 5 times a week for 45 minutes and weight training 3x's a week. I have cut out processed food from my diet, I don't drink my calories, and I eat whole grains, lean protein, and lots of fruit and veges.
I think I have a great foundation, I just need to stay on track.
I will post my before pictures soon along with an update of where I am now.

HI! congratulations on your weight loss, I am currently doing the cohens diet, hope to have some luck with it. Could you please tell me how to post a new thread? i have done it once but can't find how to do it now haha :)
