Background:
hello, im 19 years old, 6'2', 305 pounds, and looking to lose weight. i have been overweight almost my whole life, until i turned 14. i was never popular growing up because i was homeschooled most of my life, never really knew many people, so never went out and exercised much most of my exercise came from volunteering, and doing chores around the house. when i went to 6th grade i went to a business entrepenuerial school. with a total of 126 students grades k-8, i didnt hangout with many people so i never got the chance to exercise and whatever else the way a kid properly should have. i then moved to florida, my first time in a normal school, and become more active by meeting a lot of friends. since i had no car and my dad worked all the time and my mom didnt live with us anymore, i walked EVERYWHERE. i was 250lbs 5'11''at 14 years old. by the time i was 15 i was 200lbs, and maybe an inch taller, quite muscular as well. i was doing a lot of drugs, that helped keep the weight off too, stupid high school shit. and i gained all my weight back when i started drinking regularly, and hanging out with older people who had cars. more carbs + less exercise = me being 300 pounds give or take.
Current Situation:
For 2 years ive maintained my weight at roughly 300lbs. About 4 days ago i was walking to a friends house, probably the first real exercise ive had in years. My friend was busy and couldnt pick me up yet, he lived 5 miles away i said fuck it and walked halfway before he picked me up. The rest of the night i had chest pains, my blood pressure was 130/86, not terrible for my size, pulse 89. i dont know if my heart or lungs were strained or what. Tonight was the first night i didnt have any pains. at the age of 19 i cant walk 2.5 miles without straining myself. I will not tolerate that, this was my first wake up call.
My Plan:
As of tomorrow, i plan to exercise either everyday or every other day. My parents have bought exercise equipment over the years because they have many medical conditions, stat. bike, elliptical machine, punching bag, and all that. i have already started portioning my meals 2/3rds of what i normally eat for 3 meals a day, for about 3 days now, i plan to continue it as well. I dont know much about proper exercise and diet for someone my size, and when overdoing it is to much, but i am going to give it a shot and hope it works out okay. 30 minutes of exercise daily for first week, 40 2nd week, and add 10 minutes every week. all suggestions are welcome, i am on here to get help and support.
