Newbie on the forum

Hello everyone. i am a newbie on this forum. Starting a new chapter in my life to happiness and bliss and ready for a stiff challenge. My Max Wt was 220 3 wks back. I have reached to 205 with some diet control and walking. I am planning to start working out in the gym from tomorrow. hope to win this race this time.

I have set few targets
1. reach 195 lbs till 20th Aug ( 2-3 lb loss every wk)
2. reach 185 lbs till 20th September
3. reach 175 lbs till 20th October
4. reach 165 lbs till 20th November..
5. Maintain the weight over the winter.

Strategies-
1. Plenty of water. NO DIET SODA
2. Avoid Binge Eating
3. Exercise atleast 1 hr of walk everyday and GYM every other day for an 1 hr.
4. Calorie Intake restricted to 1200.

Reasons for losing weight
-Not be ashamed of my weight
-Be able to snowboard
-Be able to jog
-Less knee pain
-Going to the beach with friends, and not be embarassed
-Going to Vegas, and partying at the pool

Looking at your weight loss plan, I think you are going to be able to do just as well.
Good luck on reaching your goal weight. You can do it :)
 
Thanks for all your support.
I was able to stick with my plan ..GYM 1 hr + walk 1 hr+ no fatty food + cal intake < 1200..Atleast day 1 has been successful..
PS got a personal trainer to help me out in work outs atleast for the next 28 days....
 
Exercise-had lots of work.. cudnt make out for 1 hr walk.. but was able to go to the gym.. 1 hr work out..
Diet-- well controlled .. had fried fish ( tilapia and salmon) for lunch and lentil soup for dinner. Mebbe shld go for baked fish the next time.. ..
I have been weighing the same.. 205 for past three days.

i have been thinking of liposuction.. All my weight is around the belly...making running difficult too..

Lets see..
 
well, i have not been able to focus on my exercise .. prolly wasting lot of time talking.. which aint helping mee.. the good thing is iam able to ward off any additional wt gain with exercise bouts in between. I dont feel challenged walking for an hr... thats a really healthy sign.. even though i ahvent been able to reach my target i feel but i am energetic to win this battle for the final time,,,

wt today 210 .....still long way to go.
 
Great job man and keep it up. If you don't feel any challenge in a 1 hour walk, maybe you should start doing some intervals, warm up with a 5-10 minute walk, than do 5 intervals of 1 minute running (at a pace that feels challenging for you) and than 1 minute walking. After this do 3-5 minutes of walking, than just repeat.

Try to add it slowly into your routine, first week only do one set of 5 intervals, than when you are ready add another. This way you will challenge yourself, but at your own pace and what feels right for you.
 
well over a period of 2 mths i have lost 10 pounds which aint bad at all. I have quitted smoking and iam still surviving.. Next goal is to lose 14 pounds, lets see if i can make it..
 
AHey, Nev, glad you came back. You have the rest of your life to make your goal, so don't worry about the up's and down's. Just stay on track and keep at it :).

It does help to post here every day! Try to make it a part of your routine.
