Newbie-Adapting new and improved lifestlye

Hi my name is Connie, I am a 22 yr. old single mom, living in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. I am now at the heaviest weight I've been my entire life 216 lbs. I am desperate to adapt a new healthy lifestyle. Learning to be able to balance, full time work, being a single mom and full time school. I am definately the type of person who needs motivation and inspiration to lose weight... I've tried yo-yo diets, fad diets, being vegitarian, starving myself, long hours at the gym and nothing seems to work. Any advise?

Age: 22
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 216lbs
Waist: 43"

welcome aboard sctlvrdl. well i can tell you this i am a single mom with two boys, 31 yrs old and i am in school training to be a paramedic. any modivation you need you got it. as far a diets, try not to think of it that way, clean up what you eat so that it is healthy good food, the right portions and eat every two to 3 hrs. this keeps your glucose levels from spiking and storing fat. lots of ppl on here will give you great advice. i workout at night when i put my little ones to bed.. i have a log in the diary section of mens health. my goals will be very different that yours but i'll help anyway i can. even if its just listening.. good luck :)

Thanks for the Welcome. My father and Step-Mom are nutritionist so knowing how to eat is easy, it is just implementing it into my diet. Getting motivated for Exercise is my biggest challenge. I hope to drop about 65 lbs. and become a pilates and/or yoga instructor and keep the new lifestyle changes.
