Hi everyone! I came here hoping to find some support for weight loss, some buddies to keep me moving forward! I've always struggled with my weight, but last year I gained 40lbs due to going on a medication. Unfortunately - gaining it was easy, taking it off it going to be difficult! I can't blame it all on the medication though, I've been slowly gaining weight since 2001 and it's about time I get serious about getting rid of it!

A little about me - I'm 27 years old, married, and a recent college graduate. I'm doing an internship at the moment, but will be officially on the job market in Mid-December. My degree is in Environmental Biology and Zoology. My husband will be graduating in May with his degree in Astrophysics, and then in August we will be moving out of state for him to go to grad school.

That about covers it!

Hey! I just started this thing (including weightloss), too! I will be graduating in December of 08! I'm so excited and very much ready to get out as I'm sure you were!!! If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask us! :) I'm still learning, but I'm sure somebody can help you!

My plan of attack on my fat is this:

* I'm drinking more water and cutting soda (diet or otherwise) out completely.

* I switched to green tea instead of coffee (it seemed to help my weight loss last time and it's good for me).

* I've cut back my calories quite a bit - I'm vegetarian so I've committed myself to cooking more at home since going out is so unhealthy (often I have only one choice on the menu), and I'm trying to rely more on tofu as the staple of my diet instead of pasta.

* I'm a member of curves, and I've been going 3 times per week (I've built a lot of muscle!), but I'm also adding in elliptical training on the off days to help burn fat.

* In January I'll be rejoining my yoga center, and I adore yoga - it's such a good muscle workout.
