New with a question

Im new to running and weight lifting ive been at it for 6 weeks and the running/walking 4 miles a day has helped me go from 290 lbs down to 248 lbs also a strict diet. My question is this, Is it ok for me to drink a protein shake after i run/walk 4 miles. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
 
I'm sorry, I'm not able to answer your question, but welcome and congratulations on the 42 pounds lost so far! That's terrific!
