New to weight loss efforts

I'm 21 (almost 22) and weight 131 pounds with a BMI of 21.8 and body fat percentage of 26.7%. I am going to be audition for a talent agency over seas in January of 2020 (I want to finish school first) and the average weight of the girls I will be auditioning with is between 98 and 110 pounds (all will be in my own age group). I need to lose 20+ pounds or risk not qualifying for being too heavy. This is something I really want and I know I can get the weight off since before and injury a few years ago, I'd never weighed more than 115 pounds. Does anyone have any advice for how to shed the pounds without getting too much muscle added on? I don't want to be stick thin, but getting back to 115 is the goal for now and I need help figuring out how to get there.

are you currently on a diet right now? What do you usually eat in a day, And also are you doing any sort of exercising like running?

You are not going to build muscle while in calorie deficit at your current weight, your challenge will be maintaining what you currently have.

your goal is achievable with your goal weight being around 15% bodyfat if you can keep the muscle you currently have. however your goal is on the lower end of healthy fat % for ladies so your tracking and diet will need to be spot on and you will need to be strength training as the closer you get to goal the slower your fat loss will be.

Are you tracking your current food intake ? if so what is your current macro breakdown ?

I am not currently on any specific diet, I just eat when I remember. I typically walk up hill for 20 minutes a day everyday to get to school and then 15 minutes down hill to get back afterwards. Since posting the initial question my measurements have changed a bit. 127.4 lbs, 21.2 BMI, and 25.7% BF. I don't do any other exercise, though I know I should. I don't have access to a gym so I have to workout at home.

I don't track my food intake mostly because I only eat when I remember to (which results in a meal at around noon and another at around 5 with no snacking in between). One of my friends is doing the same audition and says that to be a better candidate we should have softly visible/defined abs, slim legs and thin arms.

131 pounds with a BMI of 21.8 and body fat percentage of 26.7%. (34.9 lb fat) (96.1 lb muscle)
127.4 lbs, 21.2 BMI, and 25.7% BF (32.6 lb fat) (94.8 lb muscle)

You have lost 2.3 lb of fat but have also lost 1.3 lb of muscle this rate of muscle loss is not healthy in the long run and will lead to a slower metabolism making fat loss even harder.

your not going to have visible abs at 15% bodyfat and if you keep loosing muscle you will begin to look sickly which won't be good for an audition.

If you want to achieve your goals you are going to have to start tracking what and when you eat so appropriate changes can be made, with the rate of muscle loss you have I suspect you are not eating adequate protein.

For strength training, do you have access to a kids playground ? pushups, pull ups (use playground monkey bars) Squats (not bodyweight only, hold something heavy), Step ups on a park bench, bench dips also using a park bench. Bent over rows using park bench and a heavy shopping bag, Is your friend willing to train with you ? stand back to back with your friend, legs wide enough to have a ball pass through at knee level, both of you grab the ball and play (tug of war) etc, there is a lot that can be done without a gym.

My friend lives on the other side of the country from me...I'll start tracking what and when I eat so as to improve my muscle management!
