Hey there!
Welcome! I am with ya! I am so ready to get these extras off and keep them off! We can do it! I think you will find alot of very helpful info and people within this forum! Are you doing any type of special eating program or just trying it the traditional, healthy way?

What about excercise? Planning on doing any outside of your work schedule! That surely is one good thing about excercise....you never want to do it, but you NEVER regret doing it!! Keep me updated! I think the more support and acocuntability that you have the easier it is!
Happy loosing!
Megan
Hi Megan!
thank you for your response

I think you are right about the accountability and boy have I set myself up to be accountable LOL, I told my mother (she needs to lose weight as well, so we "agreed" that we were going to lose 10 kilos before new years eve, I told my friends and my boyfriend who is very supportive, but in the right way, without bullying, without blaming or being on my tail the whole time, plus I went even further, I set up my own web to be accountable online and track my whole weight loss venture ROFL
Since I have been yo-yo-ing a lot over, well, my whole life, I made the decision NOT to diet anymore. Atleast not go on any restrictive diet. The day I decided not to go on any diet anymore, was actually the moment where my weight stopped spiralling out of control. 5 years ago, I weighed a heafty 140 kilos, I now am at 112 but feel I have been at that weight for way too long now and that I should take action to go all the way back to a healthy weight.
This is part of the problem as well, as I figured out talking to my mom the other day. Having lost close to 30 kilos already, I think at one point I must have been feeling so great about the weightloss already, and feeling so much healthier that I just did not bother to continue, like an unconscious decision I made that I was already happy about the way I felt. (hope that makes sense)
So I am slowly starting to find ways to implement more activity in my daily schedule, I work at home on the computer, which is a big part of my problem, having to sit the majority of the day, but now I am going to see it as part of the solution, being able to set up my day myself and implement more activity.
As far as the food goes, instead of counting calories and the lot, I am trying to eat more regularly, have a good breakfast and eat smaller portions throughout the day. I am also looking for ways to prepare my food in a healthier way, I threw out my deepfryer and replaced it for a machine that sort of fries without using oil, but still makes food give that crispy taste and am working on recipes to prepare my favorite foods healthier. Like for example, living on my own, I like to prepare foods in bigger quantities and then portion freeze it. This way I always have a fast healthy option available to me, which will help me control cravings.
I made an awesome "chinese fried rice" the other day. I used wholegrain rice and plenty of veggies in it, replaced the pork for shrimps and chicken and only used a little bit of extra virgin olive oil instead of the loads of butter I would use to prepare it in the past.
I was schooled to be a professional chef, changed my line of work years ago, but now getting back to feel the joy of cooking again, so I will be experimenting a lot there.
So that is the basic plan LOL, most important is to stay on track
cheers to you!
