New to the forum!

Hey there, I am new to this forum and look forward to the experience. I have been struggling all of my life with weight and have tried numerous time to change it. Some attempts succeded short term others did not. I started again 1 week ago and have lost approximately 7 pounds. I have cut out all junk foods which was really never a problem. I drink what seems like a 55 gallon barrel of water daily and sticking to a high protien low carb diet. My weakness is meat!! I love ribeyes and have been told I grill the BEST. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
 
:eek: Your avatar scared me! :p But seriously, welcome to WLF!!! AND CONGRATS on the loss. 7 lbs in 1 week,that's GREAT.

As for advice, it sounds like you've got it figured out. You love meat and it appears you've chosen a sensible eating plan (high protein, low carb). You're getting your water, which is great and necessary and you've cut the junk. I'd suggest that you seriously consider (if you haven't already) exercising along with this. Sparkpeople is really great with helping you determine how many calories you should take in per day based on your weight, height and level of activity, to help facilitate your loss.

Best of luck to you my friend. Oh..almost forgot. Think about starting a diary here (see section below). That way people can come by daily (or more often) to encourage you, push you (when needed), cut up and give advice. I've found that it was instrumental in my weight loss. I couldn't have done it without these good folks here...so give us a chance to be your personal cheerleaders! :)
