New to the forum...help?

Hey guys, i am a 20 year old college student residing in Northern California. I recently looked at myself in the mirror and was shocked to realize i wasnt in good shape anymore. When i was a senior in high school I had a sixpack, and was pretty muscuclar all together, in more of a body building not neccessarily leam muscle type way (i.e 6'1 225lbs 6 pct body fat) the first two numbers havent changed much, 6'1 230 lbs, but my body fat has undoubtedly sky rocketed. I havent really been very active now that i am not a 3 sport athelete and it has really taken a toll on me. Basically now I want to devote myself fully to fitness. I want to fitness model shape in 6 months. When i was in HS my waste was 32 inches, and now its 39 inches. So what I am asking you guys, is what advice/workouts/diets etc could u give me to trim my body fat most likely to a 3rd of what it is now. (i am not heavy looking now, as i still carry that big overly muscled frame, just that i no longer have any muscle:) Ideally in 6 months i want to have under 5 pct body fat. This time however I do not want to do it with a heavy bodyweight, since outside of athletics thats not really that important. So basically what advice would u give someone that wants to look like a fitness model in 6 months?

Start doing something instead of nothing, stop eating like you still are an athlete and make sure you are not eating junk, do you live on-campus? May want to watch those meals. If you do live on campus I am sure they have a gym of sorts. Use it, start with what you know, and when you are ready to change up your routine write back in... Lots of info on here, so read around.

Good luck.
