New to forum

Hey I am Jake, new to the forum and I have a question. Its probably been asked so many times but I just want some direct answers. I am in good shape, an athletic and active person. I am 21 years old and 5'11 or about 6' and I weigh about 158 lbs and am looking to lose more and be eventually about 147-150. From looking at me I look like a skinny kid but without a shirt on I look pretty overweight as far as my upper body. My arms and legs are skinny but my waist is like 35" and I have a good amount of fat around my belly and pec area. I've only recently (the last 2-3 months) cut out white breads and sugars almost completely. I am losing weight by doing this but it's not showing whatsoever as far as my upper body and midsection. I strength train a decent amount along with my active cardio but nothing helps and my family isn't really that bad genetically. Any suggestions, or should I wait a little longer and let my new diet work a little more and just keep losing weight? Anything will help I've always had this problem though and I can't wait until it goes away (if it does). Thanks

You probably are loosing weight around your upper body areas but just arent noticing it. When I went travelling around Asia for three months I lost a stone and a half but didnt even notice until I went back home and people started commenting.

Your diet sounds like it is working but you could always do some kind of high intensity exercise that burns calories and tones you up as well. Something like a Circuits session or Boxing would be good.

Hope that helps.

You're way too thin, start eating more and lifting. Once you start to get some muscle on you it'll improve your shape. How much protein are you intaking daily?
