Hey everyone, wanted to give everyone my story, and hope to make some friends on here, and hopefully learn some things to help me get into shape.

My name's Vince, I'm 21 and I'm currently 235 lbs. at 5'11" and not proud of that at all.

I played football early in high school and I was a leaner, stronger, 195 lbs.

A drunk driver hit me during my junior year and I was forced to quit, and was hospitalized for several months. The result of this whole incident is me now having a prosthetic knee. This doesn't inhibit me in any way, I still can exercise, run, and do pretty much whatever I want.

The problem I had was, after being stuck in physical rehab for a year and a half, I lost the will and the drive to focus on my fitness.

On top of all this, I struggle with my weight the way it is, due do a severely under-active thyroid. I am medicated for the condition, but my metabolism remains a problem.

Even though I'm overweight, I don't look terrible. I have a gut, and some extra fat in my chest area that I'd like to get rid of. I'm still a pretty confident person, and I don't necessarily want to lose weight for my appearance, I am just sick of feeling so unhealthy.

My current fitness goal is to lose some weight, get a little stronger, and just feel better.

Thanks for reading this, if you took the time, I look forward to using this website to help me out.

Welcome to the forum.

I am just running thru and stirring up crap right now... but for you... I will stop and give you the real keys to feeling fit, and getting stronger.

1. 1/2 your weight in oz's of water- daily
2. 1 nice tablespoon of fresh ground flax seed, on your empty stomach each morning.
3. Sweat Daily

so much more will come with that if you will do that. If you are willing to SWEAT (it requires putting in enough effort to make your body ned to cool itself-- saunas don;t count ;) you can do alot!

again, welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome guys. One question for you, flyinfree, why the tablespoon of flax seed in the morning?
