Hey,
My name is Eric and I am a seventeen soon to be eighteen year old senior in high-school. Just recently I decided that it is time that I start getting in shape. I am currently 6'1 and 215 pounds, and my goal weight is way under 200, probably 190 or so would be nice.
My current eating habits are ones that many would cringe at, but I am already starting to change that, but what can I say, high-school is all about fun isn't it? I figured from research I would consume about 4000+ calories a day, while not losing even close to that amount. I recently finished my hockey season and am not currently enrolled in any after school sports.
As for exercise, I am an on and off type of guy. One day I can participate in gym class, then after school play basketball for 3 hours straight. Another day I might hit the gym after school, but not necessarily an avid gym go-er. And some days I will go home, turn on the T.V. and sit on the computer or on the couch doing absolutely NOTHING.
I know now that I must always stay active, eliminating those days I do nothing, but my real question(s) are there a plan that anyone can suggest for someone like myself, I'm willing at this point to do anything to get to my goal, but what I need is some guidance as well as some tips and tricks if possible.
Also, what I am trying to do is completely elimate the bulk of the calories out two of my large three meals that I usually consume, eating a cearal bar in the morning, either a salad or nothing for lunch, beef or chicken for dinner. I also am starting to drink nearly 100oz of water a day (I know sounds crazy but it keeps my mind off my stomach and how hungry I am).
Any help or tips would be wonderful.
Thanks,
Eric
