Ok so im new to the forums because I had some questions. I am a 21 year old male, im 6 feet and about 218 pounds. I am about 35 pounds overweight i believe. I signed up at the gym about a month ago after not doing any exercise for a while. I started out lifting some weights and then running for about a mile and walking for a mile. I did that for about 2 weeks and increased it to running 2 and a half miles and walking a half mile and then i go on a bike for about 10 minutes. I have not see any results so far after about a month. My friend who started when i did has already lost 8 pounds and he does the same things that i do.
Also, i noticed that over the past week my legs have been starting to kill after only a few minutes of running. I switched to the elliptical today and i really liked it and my legs didnt hurt. Is that machine ok to switch to, to lose weight.
