Hello everyone, Wow i was happy when i saw that there was a website like this where you can get help and encouragement with loseing weight. Ive been wanting to lose weight for a long long time , and finally thought right this is it I am going to really give it a go, I have been overweight for about 5 years now due to having 3 children. Before i had children i was 9 stone (not to sure what that it is in pounds or kilos) and at the moment i am 12 stone, so my goal weight is to get back to 9 stone again, well lets see if i can get there..... I have been reading some of your ideas so I am going to keep a diary so feel free to leave me a message and dont be afraid to give me a boot if you feel like i am slacking lol :p

HI Gizza,

the first step is done...you signed up for the forum!
We have a lot of very nice and helpful people here:)

Thanks for the welcome Lisa :) Im glad that i came across the website, hopefully this is going to be a new beginning for me :)

Well im going pretty well with my diary, so if you feel like i need some help with anything or if you just want to leave me a message please feel free :), Oh and i have been getting some comments from family and friends saying they reckon i have lost some weight so i went and weighed myself and i have lost abit so i must be doing something right hehehehehehe....... Hope i will lose some more

good to hear ... i'm stuck at a magic weight, but i'm not concerned about my weight, just the look of my body ... which seems to be improving.

good for you Allcdnboy!!! nothing wrong with trying to improve the look of your body aye , just as long as you aint obsessed about it.. hehehehe

hey Gizza,

that is great...if the people around you already notice then you are definitely on the right track. I also go more by looks than by weight. Reason being, muscle weighs more than fat. So if I finally start exercising, I don't even mind if the scale goes up, if at the same time the clothes get loser:D

i almost wish i was obsessed because i would probably work harder at getting in even better shape ... however, slow improvements are good enough for me

Yea i guess you have to be abit obsessed aye, other wise you wont be very motivated to do anything.

Well so far things have been abit up and down :(... I was doing really well with my xercise and eating then the school holidays started so the kids were home and that was that i found it hard to keep up with my daily exercises and eating habits :(

Then i meet up with a old friend and she told me that she had just started at the gym, so i thoght great i would start too... So i was doing really well for the first 2 weeks and then i started slacking again (2 weeks seems to be the furtherest i get) after the first 2 weeks of going to the gym everyday i only went once the week after that and now i am at the end of my fourth week and i have been 3 times this week.

So i have had my up and downs but i am going to keep up with it , as they do a assesment every 3 months at the gym so that helps keep me motivated ( cus i dont want to get told off at my assesment lol).. So if i can do it , Yous can do it too :)
