Hi! I'm a new member. Just joined today. I'd like to lose about 15 lbs. I have found that holding myself accountable for how much food I eat is one of the best ways for me to lose weight. I have lost weight before by posting what I eat on a site. I love to eat and I love junk food. Fortunately, I also love to exercise but am not always able to due to kids, work, etc. Lately, I've been doing great with going to the gym but just need to get the food on course. We are going on vacation in June and I would like to slim down so I can get some new summer clothes and feel good about lying on the beach.

Another problem is that I lose about 10 pounds every year and spend the winter gaining it back. I would like this year to be the year that I do not do that!!!

Hi, I understand the problem of gaining weight in the winter. That's always the time when I've gained most of my weight. I think people "comfort eat" a lot more in the winter because it's cold or wet outside and it's nice to sit down to a big plate of warming food. I suppose the only way to deal with it is to keep a close watch on those calories and keep exercising.

Welcome aboard and best of luck. Do you have an idea where you will start, nutritionally speaking? Cals, food selection?
