I'm not sure if this is the place to do this but since I am new, I just want to introduce myself.

I am a 36 yr. old male looking to lose around 30 lbs. I work with computers all day so I sit most of the day. My true passion, other than my kids, is cycling. The extra weight I carry makes climbing difficult and I'm just not happy with the way I look. I don't want to be one of the statistics of overweight people anymore.

My main belief for weight loss is in exercise. I do believe in a healthy diet but I don't believe in complete denial of things we enjoy. That only leads to binging and eventually giving up. I know, I've been on all the diets and given up so many things I enjoy only to lose control and go all out. I do believe on moderation and portion control. Again, I do believe a healthy diet is important but not to the point of being ridiculous with it.

Anyway, that's me. I'm willing to share my thoughts and ideas, even plans, although I believe everyone must find what works for them. I hope to share and learn a lot here.
 
welcome to the site! i'm glad to know that you have found something that works for you...that's the hardest thing for some people. =)

keep it up and you'll definintely see those lbs melt away!
