New Mama looking to lose weight!

I'm brand new to this forum, hoping everyone can help me stay motivated and give me advice on my weight loss!

I just had my baby girl November 3rd, 2007 via C-section! Not quite sure my pre-pregnancy weight, thinking it was somewhere between 150-155.. Was 185 the day I was induced. So far I have lost 27 pounds in the 2+ months post-pregnancy, mostly baby weight (she was almost 9 pounds) and all the other fluids that come out during the lovely birthing process :D

I am 5'8" and looking to be a nice healthy 140 asap! (Wasn't quite happy with the weight I was at before I even got preggers.) I am 158 at the moment, only 18lbs to go!

Currently I am getting up every morning before the hubby goes to work and do about 35 mins of cardio, little bit of abs, and little bit of weights, and trying to watch what I eat.. (but it's so hard!) Any advice on good workouts would be appreciated! Would like to lose weight in the mid-section and thigh area!

Also, I have some stretch marks on my sides and on my thighs that I would love to get rid of.. I know they'll never go away, but if anyone knows a way to get them to fade it would be awesome!

Thank you in advance! :)

Hi :) First Id like to say congrats on your new bundle of joy :D They are so precious :) Well, doing your cardio and weight training everyday is a great way to achieve your goal. As far as watching what you eat, my suggestion would be to maybe keep a journal of your calorie intake and make sure that the calories you are eating are lower then the energy you are burning. You might want to also watch your fat intake as well. Especially if you plan on toning up :) But dont be discouraged. The last few pounds I find are the hardest to lose. Keep pushing forward and you will reach your goal :) Good luck and congrats on the progress thus far :D

Oh, and about the stretch marks, I too have a few stretch marks myself from having my lil ones (3 yrs and 1 yr) and they do fade on their own over time :) So never fear, it does get better :beerchug:

I used this to fade my stretch marks after my daughter was born. It really does help. Too bad I didn't know about it while I was pregnant then maybe I could have helped myself avoid some of those stretch marks.
