New like whoa. :D

Hi, I'm SaVanna! I'm 16, and now (officially) a senior in high school. Yay! Well... this time last year I was 200 pounds, and absolutely miserable. I was really, really shy and I kind of scared people away from me with my... refusal to talk. The only people I ever really was myself around was my family and very, very close friends.

Well, I decided to start dieting. I started by borrowing WeightWatchers books from my mom and doing WW, and it was okay... but I found that I preferred simply counting calories, so that's my method of choice now. I dropped 30 pounds by December 2006. :D And what a difference it's made. I've been able to go out and... do stuff now! It's amazing. I was in our school's first play... I went to drum major camp so I can be our band's drum major this coming year... and I'm in a musical (as in, singing and dancing!) right now. :D It's awesome, and I'm so much more outspoken... and I've discovered a love of clothing that I did not know I had.

... But I hit a plateau. A BAD one. I've been 170 since... January 2007. D:

It's not just that I've stopped losing weight, either. I'm not as motivated as I used to be, and I was hoping that meeting some new people and gaining some new perspectives might help me to re-motivate myself...!

So I've lost 30 pounds so far... and I'd like to lose 25 more. Here's a before&current picture:

Hey there Savanna, I'm gregg, are you exercising, like joging, or bicyle? That may kick the platue and help you reach your goal. I weight 286, and I jog/run a mile 5 days a week in about 15 minutes, it works for me.
 
Nice to meet you, Gregg! :D I do try to bicycle a few times a week and I do DDR a lot, but I'll admit I'm not always on top of exercising. D: So I'll definitely be working on that.
 
Yup, and the good thing about exercise is it lets you blow some steam off, I bet if you start doing the bicycle on a regular basis, you will start sheding the pounds again. Also you will have more energy all day long.
