New - Hi!

Hi everyone, I am new to this forum and this is my first post! I found this forum through google in hopes of finding a supportive and motivational group to help keep me on track with my weight loss goals. I am hoping to lose 30 pounds, but more importantly I am hoping to get fit and healthy. My major challenges are:
1. Food - This one is difficult, I am a snacker. I am not a fan of veggies or nuts. this equals a lot of excess calories.
2. Exercise - Fitting in exercise can be challenging. So far I am managing to fit it in most days, but I would like to do it everyday! Kids and husband are hard to work around sometimes though.
3. Sleep - I know that sleep is also important, and I know I am not getting enough. With work and then time with the kids in the evening, I feel my real "me" time is when they have all gone to bed, and this results in me staying up later.

In the past 4 weeks I have tried 2 different free challenge groups I found on Facebook, both of which were 7 days and ended in a sales pitch. What I did like about them was the accountability, I hope that this forum can help replace some of that since I wasn't going to pay to have those continue for 90 days.....and buy shakes....I can't afford that kind of thing. My weight loss should be free!

Anyways thanks for reading, I hope to post often and get on with my journey to a healthier, fitter me!
 
If you like challenges. Check out the challenge section. I'm not really sure what's going on there right now, but you could always start a new one if there isn't one to your liking. :) And I could have written your list myself. Except I just plain hate exercise. haha. Anyways...Welcome to the forum! :)
 
Try adding more fiber content to your day, if you're a snacker that will help you stay satiated longer. Involve your husband and kids into your exercise. Even if they are in good shape, it doesn't hurt to have family activities. Take a boxing class together, go ride a bike, walk the neighborhood, something like that. You'll get this weight loss thing down, don't stress out, make time to sleep, and enjoy it. It's a mental game, you can win this. Welcome.
