AToday is my birthday and I just turned 43. I am 6ft tall and 270 lbs. I'm wearing a size 42 pants now.

I have always struggled with weight, but have really put it on in the last few years. My father died of diabetes and my mother is an insulin diabetic. I have not been diagnosed with diabetes or heart disease, but if I stay on this track it will happen.

Approximately three years ago I lost 70 lbs and felt great, but it didn't last long. I really do love to eat.

So, tomorrow I am going to start exercising again, and counting calories through Lose It. That's how I lost weight last time.

I need to do this for my own well being, for my wife, and for my two young daughters. Life is too precious to waste it over food.

Congrats on the weight loss so far! What have you been doing to drop the weight?
 
AMostly reducing portion sizes and sugar intake. I need to get back into exercising too, but that will start soon.
