Hey I am 27 and I work in Law Enforcement. I used to be very athletic but over the last few years I have gotten up to 345 pounds. I am still active but have a horrible diet and my workouts consist of running to the shower when I am running late. I am open to new ideas and love to talk to anyone about anything. I have re enrolled in a gym and I am starting a new low calorie diet. Wish me luck!

can i be the first to make a donut joke...?
just kidding.
probably like you, i found this website randomly. and am excited at the prospect of finding the support we desperately need. i laughed when i read what your workouts consist of. the shower thing, super sweet.
just remember one thing, you didnt get to the weight you are now overnight, and you surely won't get to where you want to be overnight either. that would be too easy.
im sure you know all about dedication and the importance of team work, working in law as you say.
please don't doubt your abilities.
once you doubt you throw in the figurative towel.
and jeez...do you really want to have to run to get another towel after you ran to the shower in the first place??! :p

Hey there DT53,

welcome to the forum. Good on you for re-enrolling into a gym. That's definitely a good start. :D Now this "new low calorie diet" you speak of, how low is low? Reason being, what's the sense in going too low if there's really no need to? (I'm a HUGE fan of that thing called FOOD. haha!) You'll understand a bit more what I'm talking about if you read over stickied threads and prior nutrition posts made. Wishing you all the best.
