Hey all, Well I've finally hit rock bottom, I am the heaviest I've EVER been. I decided today that I am going to give it my best effort, and really make it happen. I don't like what I've become. I don't want to be the girl who "let herself go". I want to be healthy again and feel vibrant and energetic!!!

A year ago I was at an even 170 and now I am 210!!! (I am 5'5 )How the pounds creep up on us!!! I tried different "diets" but they all failed terribly, as I did. I want my self-esteem back and I want to do this for MYSELF so I can say I did it!! Reading your stories and seeing your before/after pics is a great inspiration to me, and I hope to accomplish the same!!! Looking forward to being here and getting the support and motivation I need from others along the way!

do start up a diary -its a great place to get support and to record your challenges and victories which can help to motivate you- motivation comes from within you -so remind yourself of why you want to lose weight regularly... and keep that reminder handy.

Read around the forums, especially the stickied threads for the advice offered on a sensible approach to weight loss and fitness.

i agree on weight sneaking up, after comin to america, we'd eat out and id think its ok im eating kind of healthily...next thing i know im 30lbs heavier !!
