Hi everyone,

I've been coming here for a little while now and I just decided that it was time for me to get serious about losing weight. My highest was about 160lbs and now I'm 137 lbs. But it's really weird because I look like I weight so much than that. Anyway, for the past week I have been exercising every day and watched what I eat but I didn't lost anything, I even gain half a pound!! I really don't know what I am doing wrong. Maybe some of you can help me. thanks!

p.s. sorry for my english I'm trying to learn more but it's tought!!
 
Hi! how much weight do you want to loose? at 137 I wouldnt' think much? How tall are you??

Ok, so it sounds like your getting in some good excersize...are you counting cals?? Loosing weight comes down to cals in vs cals out. To loose weight (and esp given your current weight) I wouldn't' eat any more than 1200 cals a day.

Congrat's on your weight loss so far! Keep it up!

I would like to go to down to 115 lbs. And I am 5'4. I don't know if it's to low but it just seem like I have a lot to lose when I look at myself.
I did count calories for a while and I always stayed between 1100-1400 cal. per day but I stopped doing that because I was getting SO obsessed with it. I know I should start doing it again but I just thought that if I eat really healthy it wouldn't make a difference if I don't count calories. Anyway, thanks for help, I really appreciate it!!!:D
 
Yea, i know how it is about counting calories, it can become obsessive.

Maybe by not loosing any weight lately, your body is trying to tell you something? FOr your height, your weight is great. 115 is malnurioused. You don't want to do that to yourself. We have another one on here that also is 5'4 and 130 but wants to loose another 10 or so...you guys need to realize that loosing weight isn't going to change how you feel and think. You need to work on your self image.

I'm not saying thats the case for you...but its definately something to think about.

I know it sound like i want to be ultraskinny but that's really not the case. I don't know if it's because i have a really little bone structure or something... i don't know.. i don't look my weight at all!! And am really happy about myself, i just feel like i could look a little better that's all. Thanks for you're concern
