Hi :) I'm clearly new to this forum. I'm not overweight, but I do have excess fat that I would like to lose and just to start healthier habits (eg. today's the first day in a long long time that I've drunk 2L of water!). I'm 16 years old and somewhere between 171-175cm tall (can never get the same measurement twice! :p) and I currently weigh about 58kg - I'd like to drop about 8kg of that, hopefully that'll rid me of the excess flab I have :p

OK Time out for a second...

Talking in measurements that I can understand... you are currently either 5'7 or 5'8" tall and you currently weight 128 lbs... and you want to get down to 110 lbs? at your height?

This forum offers lots of support, and part of that support is telling a person when they don't need to lose weight. You are pretty much at your ideal weight... losing 8 kgs would put you underweight and at your age, with your body growing and changing that could cause you some problems.

Now is the time to start with healthy eating habits, so kudos to you for doing that. Exercising and toning up might also make you feel a little better.
