Hello, I decided to join this site since I've been seeing a personal trainer for a number of weeks now. I have currently lost 12 pounds, which I am very proud of, but I want to lose about 60 pounds. My starting weight was 252.2 and now I'm at 239.8. I'm about 5/7 or 8 (not exactly sure). Eventually I will post some before/after pictures since I have pleanty.
I (as well as many others) have been struggling with dieting and exercise for years, but I'm only 21 so this is the best time to get myself in gear. I've gone through phases of weightloss but it was only due to depression (those times where you just hate youself and can't bear to eat anymore) but now I'm serious about this and way more mature. For me I've had major struggles with just not believing I could ever lose weight but what I needed and have realised is that I CAN and that the difference between now and then is tha now I'm actually puting in the effort and fighting back against all the stressors and all the people who look down on me because of my weight. I am not feeling like I am below anyone else. Advice I'd give to people who have been having problems with dieting is to NOT give up and to keep trying even if you fail a millions times because eventually YOU WILL BE READY and you WILL do it.
Even if you feel like this
! You will do it. Also walk with your nose up not down you ARE worth it and you are no less important than anyone else. One other bit of advice I'd give is to NEVER try to lose weight for someone else....do it for yourself. Definately do NOT try to lose weight so that you can get a hot boyfriend or girlfriend - that's entirely unacceptable. You do it because of your own want to improve your health/self image etc. So good luck to you all.......................
