New here.. What can I do with....

25lb dumbells.. and 50lb barbell?

Just bought a new house.. Dont have the cash for a gym membership..

Dont have the cash for a bench atm either.. Skydiving puts a cramp on the wallet..

So with what I have.. can I get toned? im 6'00 at 180lbs..

What is a good routine for what I have? I have no clue to sets, reps or what excercises that I need to do to compensate for what I am lacking with not having a gym... I lifted in school, but thats been a while so talk to me like im a noob. ;)

Thanks in advanced and hope this thread is ok here..

well, considering you are about the same as me, including the skydiving, but 6'1", there is plenty you can do. I started off with a pretty heavy running routine of 6 hours a week (built up over 4 weeks). Now i've added the workout routine and if you look around this forum there are a lot of exercises in here that don't even use weights ... as well as ones that can make use of the weights that you have.

Hey, thanks for the reply.

What DZ? IM at The Skydiving Place in Parkton NC

and Raeford Parachute Center.

So, I should run as much as possible, push ups, crunches, anything I can do with dumbells, ect.. but what about reps, sets with these? As many as I can until I fatigue? I am way out out shape.. not fat, just haven't exercised like I should have. Im exausted after 1 jump :(

Try old fashioned pushups and pull ups...and when u get really good ...do them with one hand....and when that runs out ....get a couple of garbage bags and some cat litter....sit them on ur back...etc.

the cat litter (or sand) good for squats too...

Toning is all about repetition and not too much about weight. I agree tha pushups, situps and old fashioned exercises like chair dips will work great.

If and when you want to reallystart adding on the muscle mass, you will problably have to start considering adding to the weights you have, but for now just try the basics.

Thanks alot for your answers ;)

But should I fatigue when doing these types? Go until I can't do anymore or what?

Thanks again,

CS.

Think it depends on the person...my favorite go to fatigue the try for one or two more....

but then when you get like my friend Tokyo and can do 100 without breaking a sweat then ou might want to add some weight
LOL

Have you checked out some martial arts magazines? They have these really great exercises using your own body weight.
