New here! Looking for some answers.

Hi,

Iam new to working out and the whole gym-thing. Ive been going to the Y since July, working out 3-4 times a week. Here is my routine:

Monday- hour of water aerobics(mix between cardio and strength)
Tuesday- 20 minute abs class, 20 minutes of treadmill(alternating 5 minutes normal pace walking 5 minutes jogging)
Wed.- hour of water aerobics
Thursday- 20 minute abs

Iam looking to start water aerobics on Tuesday morning as well.

My stats are:
age:32
5"5
135lbs
BM:?

Since Ive started working out, I have gained 5 lbs. I feel like Iam going the wrong way, I thought I was suppose to lose weihgt? I know that Iam gaining muscle, but will I ever start losing weight?

I just jumped into the gym and did my own thing, looking back I wish I had started with measuring and a talk with the trainer.

I want to lose the weight that I have gained and more, will that happen or is the scale going to keep going up?:rolleyes: :eek:

weight training, will help alot, even as little 30 minutes a dawy. I have also heard it is 90% diet and 10% workout.
