New here (Long read inside)

Hello,

I too am new here. I have been working out for about a month after realizing that I wasn't happy with my weight. I have always been a happy person regardless of my looks, and still am. I guess I was just unsatisfied with my appearence.
I started by joining the gym on Nov 4th of this year, I was excited, and knew I needed to go because I dropped alot of money. Well I had been doing good with my current plan and have learned alot along the way. I am usually pretty good with healthy eating and not snacking during this period, only time I really got down on myself was for eating pizza (Garden Veggie) was on my Dad's B-day.
As of the last time I weighed myself I had lost 17 pounds from Nov 4th to December 15th. Only problem is I havent really seen any results, others have though. My regimen is 1700 calories, usually high in protein and low in fat, lots of veggies, little fruit. Also for exercise I had only been doing Cardio, walking on a high incline at a medium pace, before I tried running (did the mile for the first time since high school 10:48 seconds) I am trying to add in some light weight lifting. I still have 49.5 lbs to go till I reach my overall goal, but have set miny goals of 7-10 lbs a month. I do keep a food journal, and any suggestions are welcomed.
