Hi, I have been on my diet since the 2nd of the month and doing great. I am using the South Beach diet plan and am finding it relatively easy. However, I know that I am in this for the long haul and want to have some accountability and encouragement. 2 weeks is nothing, I want to be sticking with this 3 months from now!
Hope to find a few others that are wanting to share difficulties and successes!

Hi and welcome!

I have come across quite a few people here doing the south beach diet!
Im doing 1200 a day! It's pretty easy if you stay motivated! so far i have done well!

I just started my diet a week ago and Im glad I found this place! Its great motivation and the people here are so helpful!

Good luck to you!

thanks!

So far the South Beach plan has been relatively easy. It may be that I am just more motivated than ever before. Hopefully I will find the encouragement I need to stay on track! so far, day 14 and down 9 lbs. That is a lot, but I am on Phase One, which ends today. will likely move into a slower loss now.

Thanks for saying hello and best of luck.

Hi Summer, welcome to the board.

Well done on staying on track and the weight loss, you're doing fantastic

What is the south beach diet, we dont seem to have it over here (ireland)?

Hey there summerbaby,

welcome to the forum. Good luck with South Beach Diet. As long as you're getting healthy for the long haul and not for a short term period, you should be all good. Hope to see you active around the forum.:)

thanks guys!

Demented: South Beach is an diet plan that uses the glycemic index. It is a lower carb diet, but not NO-carb. I just bought the book, read it thoroughly and decided it sounded healthy. Since my mother died from a diabetes related illness, I figured that it made sense for me to be aware of my own glucose levels. I am planning on making much of this diet a way of life. 9 lbs down, 41 to go. That won't make me a size 2, but a much healthier happier person. Also, am trying to set a reasonable goal! at 44 I won't be a size 2 or 4 ever.

Thanks again for the encouragement!
