Hi Everyone!

I'm sure I have a similar story, I've been struggling with weight gain since I had my daughter 8 years ago. In 2012 I finally got serious and lost it all and was back to my goal weight, slowly since then its been creeping back on! I just recently moved to Las Vegas NV, and it was a cross country move, I won't blame it all on the move but since then I've really been piling it back on.

I'm now sitting at my heaviest at 180 lbs, I know I can do it, I've done it before but needing a support group, as I know no one here in Vegas as of yet. I'm a stay at home Mom and need a place to report my progress and read about others in my same situation.

Next week I've got an appointment with a weightloss doctor to get on some medication for appetite control and energy B12 shots as my energy really feels drained, all the time. At that time I'll be doing a grocery overhaul and start fitness classes at the local YMCA.

I look forward to meeting and sharing with all of you!

Welcome. These things sometimes just happen to us. But I think you'll get it ironed out here and down to what you would like to be sitting at. The journal section is great for everything you just mentioned. What kind of classes and what kind of foods were you looking at switching over to?

Hi dudeitstime!

Thank you for the welcome. The YMCA has Zumba, Yoga, a type of pilates class, and fitness kickboxing, also they have an indoor pool with lap swimming. My starting goal is to at least go three times a week, maybe two Zumba classes and the yoga, and increase from there. I also have a park nearby for walking.

As far as foods go, low or no bad carbs (potatoes, white breads, rice, etc) fish, chicken and some steak, lots of fresh raw veggies as I can and some fruits and nuts for snacks. I am also going to splerge and get these whey protein shakes I use to get, Isopure, I enjoyed them a lot. They are expensive but they tasted great and use them as a once a day meal replacer.
