I'm new here, my name is Lisa and last week I decided that I want to live. So, I pulled myself out of a pity spiral, hugged my children and decided to change. I have an endocrine disorder that makes it near to impossible for me to be skinny, but I *can* be much lighter. So, I'll never be a bikini wearer... but I don't need to dread the glares I get at the beach.
Using an 800 calorie average formula given to me by my doctor a few years ago, I added in some biggest loser workouts and managed to go from 355lbs to 332lbs this week. I know that's just the initial jump due to my size, but it felt good just the same.
My prescribed calorie formula is this:
Monday: 400 calorie liquid fast
Tuesday: 600 calories
Wednesday: 1000 calories
Thursday: 400 calorie liquid fast
Friday: 800 calories
Saturday: 1200 calories
Sunday: 1200 calories
I personally like the liquid fasts, however my doctor did suggest that if I find them hard I could increase those days to 600-800 calories and reduce my weekends to 800-1000 as well (As long as the weekly average stays at 800).
Obviously, this diet is just for a while before moving on to a more sustainable calorie count. I'm loving the extra energy though! I hope that stays!
