New here in need of help

I have tried recording it but i dont know if im doing it correctly. Im not stupid. Im trying to measure my food like i was informed. The last couple days i have been struggeling with feeling hungery all the time.

Hmmm... I know not everyone is comfortable with this, but would you be OK with posting a typical day's diet on here?

On a typical day i have realized while recording my food that i make the mistake of skipping breakfast than i start snacking on food that is microwavable junk. But i am doing better with my coke intake and trying to measure my food correctly. I have also started walking 2 miles a day with a friend

Hi Cookie Monster,

I think you can lose your weight if you quit Coke / Mochas....

Anyways, if you are addicted to mochas and coke... it is quite hard to ask you to stop everything completely. Usually if you are addicted to something, it is the best to cut the portion a bit by a bit... both for body adjustment and also fulfill your needs at the same time.

I will suggest the following which you can try... first.. you need to tell yourself that you can only get either Mochas or Coke for today... Remember just to start it slow... let say you take Mochas, prepare 1 cup Mochas.. but pour into a smaller portion and have a glass of water beside.... now.. whenever you feel you want to drink.. take a zip of Mochas and then drink the water after... this way you can slowly decrease the cravings of Mochas or even quit it as well. Same as Coke.. get Zero Coke instead of regular.. limit yourself to drink 1 can of coke maximum... one zip at a time if you want to drink and then drink water after that zip... if you can do it consistently.. you will be getting there to get rid of it!

Hope this helps and let me know your thought!
Cheers...

I agree with what fatloss said completely.... It's probably more realistic for you to cut down on the colas/mochas gradually. And don't be hard on yourself for not doing everything perfectly in the beginning... it takes time to figure out your 'unhealthy habits' and replace them with healthier ones.

I think that's great that you've started walking with a friend! Having some support should help you tremendously. Can you have your breakfast, or at least some of it, ready the night before? That may help remind you to eat first thing in the morning.

Measuring is not for everyone, but I saw this yesterday and it is so very true:

Well i have been walking 2 miles a day and feel good... My little man and i do it together i just wish the numbers on the scale would go down

Cookie monster why dont' you joint he diary section and start your own diary and listing all the food you eat as well as your exercise. The weight won't go down until you get hte balance between calorie in and calorie out going properly.

You should probably figure out your bmi, you calorie intake, what you should eat and so on.

Defintiely try eating three decent healthy meals a day and nothing in between but a piece of fruit or a stick of celery or the like.

I disagree with cutting down on stuff you are addicted to. I find it easier to go cold turkey and give it up. You lose the taste for that stuff pretty quick if you are getting enough to eat of good tasty healthy food. Adn get used to drinking water.

Read some of the other diaries. Read mine.
