Hello everyone. I've recently started my 3rd year here at my university. I've always been a bigger guy ever since I was about 8. I was in decent shape though until I turned 16 and started driving. Then I constantly found myself getting fast food. I would get more and more. Then I started working at a Chili's and ate almost every time I got off work because it was free or cheap. I quickly put on a bunch of weight and found myself graduating high school at about 275. Then came college. Kept putting on weight and now I'm up to 315 starting my 3rd year. I used to be moderately active but now I am quite lazy. I find myself sometimes at home all day watching baseball, netflix, or playing video games. About 7 months ago I got a gym membership with a roommate and barely ever went. I always had the attitude of "I'll start next week". Never really started. Now this past week, I've finally been going and actually been looking forward to it every day. I'm doing some running and other cardio and I feel better every day and as motivated as I've ever been. Haven't been any real diet changes other than I haven't eaten fast food for a while and I plan to stay away from it. I just joined this page to maybe get some motivation from others and maybe help motivate others. I want to be healthy and start having the energy and motivation to go out and do stuff with confidence and what not. Anyways, hope to get involved here. Thanks for reading. :)

Well done, you're taking action and that's the first step in a long journey to a better lifestyle.

I hit 226 pounds a couple of years ago and have got back down to between 180 and 185 pounds. I feel much better for it and my knees which used to hurt all the time are better than they have been for years. Stick at it.

Remember the only person who can make you lose weight is you.

All the best
