New here and to excercise

I am currently wanting to loose some wieght from my stomach and also firm up my pecs. I am not all that fat but I am chubby. I don't even want abs necesaarily, but a defined stomach. I came here looking for a good diet/excercise plan. If anyone has a good one to loose some wieght and a good excercise plan to build a defined stomach please post it.
 
First thing is that you cannot spot reduce (i.e. you can't target fat loss in specific areas like stomach and pecs). You just have to lose fat and it will come off eventually. Some areas lose fat quicker than others. To figure out a diet plan, you first need to find out how many calories you need per day (try this calculator --> ) and then subtract about 20% of that or somewhere around 500 calories.

As for exercise, you can start with 3 days a week of a full body type workout and do some cardio on the off days, maybe 2-3 days a week.
 
from you're description of your goals, it sounds like you don't even want to lose weight. Get on a full body workout (FBW) and cut as much trans and sat. fat from your diet that you can. My use of diet isn't a 4 letter word, but what you typically eat. Get lots of lean protien.

The more lean body mass (muscle) that you have the more calories you burn at rest after resistance training. Look up "after burn"
